Janet Miller
Janet Miller presented a trunk show at the October guild meeting. She shared 100 quilts that she had designed and made. She also told the story of her quilting career, explaining that her interest in quilts began as a child when she took naps on her Grandmother’s bed which was covered with a Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilt made by a great-aunt.
She has designed many cross stitch and quilt patterns under the name The City Stitcher. She has also designed and created the quilts for the book covers of four of Jennifer Chiaverini’s books in the Elm Creek Quilt book series.

Kaye England
Kaye England presented an entertaining and humorous lecture and the workshop the following day included demonstrations of her specialty triangle rulers used to make perfectly sized blocks from her book “Double Dozen”.

Joanne Lester
Joanne talked about how the Stitching Sisters began, what they do, their new location (and available drop-off times) and showed some examples of quilts that had been completed for the charity.After her presentation, many guild members showed the quilts they had made for the charity and donated them to Stitching Sisters at the meeting.

Linda M. Poole
Linda Poole presented A Quilted Journey Around the World to the guild. She shared what inspires quilters from travels abroad or within their own countries. We visited Paris, Japan, the United States, Italy, Turkey and other countries.

Ann Rebele
Ann Rebele presented a slide show of her art quilts, followed by the quilts themselves.
Ann’s art quilts were made out of hand drawn, hand-painted, hand-dyed, and hand-printed fabrics that were used to create unique three-dimensional effects.
