Unsewn Swaps

We love our fabric here at Common Threads Quilt Guild! For our Unsewn Swaps, that is our swaps of unsewn fabric – such as fat quarters or strips, we have two options for our Members.

Our first option is our Birthday Swaps, which reward participants with a plethora of fat quarters, of their choosing, within their birthday month. Members that choose to participate in this Unsewn Swap can specify what types of fabric they wish to receive. Some examples might include 30’s, batiks, brights, Civil War, greens or polka-dots – whatever you’re looking to sew with. The Birthday Swap requires an annual commitment and signups occur during the last few months in the end of the year before the Birthday Swap is to begin.

Our second option is our Monthly Unsewn Swaps, which occur during every Guild Meeting. For each meeting, a type of fabric and cut will be specified and for every one that you bring in, you receive a raffle ticket to win the whole stash (or half of the stash, depending on how many submissions were received and the determination made by the Coordinator of Unsewn Swaps Chair).
